After medical school at Dow Medical College in Pakistan, Dr. Shah-Hasan chose to make the Bay Area her home in 2010, completing her residency in Internal Medicine at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland. Her decision to become a doctor has to do a lot with the values she learned as a child both from her family and faith, as being a doctor for her is the ultimate way to be able to help people regardless of their circumstances. Dr. Shah-Hasan likes to combine medicine with life coaching, where she focuses not only on a patient's health issues but on overall wellbeing and contentment with life. She loves to spend time with her patients and help them identify barriers and solutions towards better health and future Dr. Shah-Hasan loves to read and runs a monthly book club for herself and two older children. She is also a big foodie and loves trying out new cuisines and restaurants.
