Tell us what makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider. What drives me to being a healthcare provider is being able to help people improve their quality of life and be more joyful. I love being able to assess a problem and solve it in a way that honor's the human body and mind. Being able to effectively "change" patients for the good, gives me motivation everyday to do my job and do it well! In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? Primary Care Provider's role should be to "prevent" major illness and injury to others and that requires treating the whole patient and not just one area. Several studies have proven the link between mental health and overall health and that those two ideas need to be joined together and treated together as well. Understanding the importance of brain development and the need for sleep ensures that all "bases" are covered with all patients. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I love spending time with my family and going on traveling adventures! I love reading especially medical journals and studies to remain up-to-date. I love working out and treating myself---you can not help others if you do not help yourself---Self care is a MUST!
