In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? A primary care provide is one who ask many questions and actively listens to the patients verbal and non-verbal cues. As we are gathering this information, we are building rapport and trust. We are investigators; we uncover the many layers one has in order to understand where the patient is coming from. This allows for proper assessment, diagnosing and treating accordingly. What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I am very passionate about contributing to the healing process to my clients through exceptional, individualized patient-centered care. As a nurse practitioner, I am able to help patients restore their health, prevent disease and promote wellness through performing detailed physical assessments, diagnosing and treating those under my direct care. I love to see patients improve their mental and physical health; this helps patient live a more content life! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I have three beautiful kids, my husband and my cockapoo who I spend all of my time with! I love my family so much. I have an amazing support system. I am very content with my life.
