The role of a primary care provider is educate, understand patient constraints and provide an individualized treatment plan to meet the medical goals of the patient. To foster mutual trust, which is key in breaking through barriers that may hinder patient care, especially when meeting behavioral health needs. To maintain professionalism while showing empathy, create a climate of comfort and empower patients. I have been in the Army since 2003, 11 years active duty, experienced in operational medicine and humanity missions in austere environments of the Middle East. I work in both emergency medicine and primary care settings. My wife and I are parents to three wonderful children and are personal trainers in our spare time.
