In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of the primary care provider is to serve as a safe and reliable support system to the patient and their healthcare needs. Building a positive rapport with the patient creates a level of trust between the patient and their provider to promote open and honest communication which will assist the provider to meet the patient's healthcare needs. What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? Educating patients about their chronic and acute illnesses makes me passionate about being a healthcare provider. Ensuring the patient understands their health and their illness process promotes optimal patient outcomes and keeps patients healthy. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy spending time out in nature, going for long walks, and spending time with my partner and our dog.
