In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The primary care provider (PCP) is they lynchpin in any person's health care system. The PCP is the quarterback and should coordinate between all the different specialists that are involved in the patient's care. It is the job of the PCP to look out for the patient and ensure that all the disparate pieces come together for benefit of the patient. Additionally, education is a critical component of caring for a patient. The patient is better able to contend with the daily nuances of a particular disease process, if they understand that their symptoms are in fact a normal part of the disease. Understanding helps both the physical and psychological aspects of a sickness, injury or chronic illness. Often, addressing the psychological needs will help alleviate or even eliminate the physical symptoms. What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I started as a firefighter/EMT at the age of 16 in suburban Philadelphia. As I grew and developed (EMT, Combat Medic, paramedic, phlebotomist, epidemiologist, physician assistant) I noticed how many of my colleagues were disinterested or irritated by their patients. I always felt that every patient should be treated as I would want my grandmother treated, with honesty and respect. I became passionate about advocating for the patient. I strive to make the patient better, even if better just means that they leave the appointment with an iota more understanding of the disease process than when they came into the meeting. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I am an avid scuba diver. I have been diving in 17 US states and 11 different countries. I dive both professionally and recreationally. I visit Mexico on a regular basis, having been to Cozumel 28 times in the last 8 years. I am a US Army veteran and a firefighter/rescue diver with over 22 years of experience.

We are trusted by over 50,000 patients every month. Here's what they have to say.

My provider is great. Answers all of my questions before our visit ends. I originally used Circle Medical because I couldn’t get an appointment with a provider in person, but because of my experience I decided to keep Circle as my primary care provider.

Thalia

This app met me on my level for my neurodivergent needs, didn't keep me waiting, and has really kind and professional medical staff.

Adan

No issues whatsoever, affordable gender hormone therapy and nice, professional people.

James

I like the flexibility of virtual appointments.

Amanda

The process was very convenient and easy to do. I felt very comfortable with the practitioner and satisfied with communication back and forth.

Anabel

It's so easy to make appointments, the messaging feature makes help SO accessible, and the quality of the providers are top notch. It's such a relief to be able to schedule an appointment the day I need it. I always feel so heard and so cared for.

Quinn

I moved to a new area and wasn't sure how to proceed with primary care. I reached out to Circle Medical just because I needed someone to assist with my prescriptions. But now that I am seeing them, I will rely on them for my PCP needs going forward. Thank you.

Michelle

I love my provider and the app. This all made it really easy to take care of myself and my body again. I also love that every provider is LGBTQ affirming and it makes a big difference.

Patricia

Convenient, effective, and efficient heath care provider. It’s the modern way to get heath care.

Bill

Wonderful experience. I feel heard. The virtual visit with the provider has been so positive. I feel I've gotten better care than I have had in my past in-person visits.

Emery

It was accessible, period. I could get an appointment that was not months out like most local doctors. Gave me records that documented my history. Made it possible to receive care online/virtually.

Rosemary

Circle Medical has been so amazing with me from the provider to customer service. They really do care about my concerns. It has been so easy and simple.

Tiffany

This is the first practice in over a decade where I actually felt heard. Advocating for yourself can be hard when you’ve had other practitioners who are dismissive and condescending. This practice is the complete opposite and a much needed breath of fresh air.

Yolanda

Circle is the only part of the healthcare value chain that doesn't waste my time and money.

Patrick

Very practical, hours are very flexible which is convenient for those who have long work hours.

Eleanor

The service and care my provider has provided for me since being a patient has been second to none! It's changed my life to be honest. Highly recommend Circle Medical!

Thomas

Circle Medical ADHD treatment has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I love the ease of not having to go to a Doctors office. I travel for work and my travels are sporadic so being able to take a video/zoom appointment wherever I am at is paramount. I never need to worry about when my appointment is as long as I have cell service. It's just incredible. Plus I ABSOLUTELY love my provider. He is just awesome. I could go on and on about him.

Isabella

Very quick and easy to set up an appointment, and was able to get my much-needed prescription right away.

Jermaine

I made an appointment quickly and easily, the medical practitioner that met me for my appointment was prompt, knowledgeable and mature, and billing/insurance is seamless.

Lincoln

My provider was wonderful, on time, and really took the time to listen to me without judgement.

Randall

The convenience is amazing. I can always find an appointment at a time that works best for my schedule. Also, I love the ability to text questions whenever I want. I get answers within the same day. It feels like a concierge service. I can make an appointment when I want, and get quick answers to all of my questions.

Jo

Quick, knowledgeable, and professional service. Easy to use and much, much faster than in-person visits.

Charlie

As a long-standing healthcare worker myself, I am very familiar with the healthcare system and how difficult at times it can be to get an appointment with a provider. Circle Medical makes it easy to receive care at my convenience. The providers I have seen are knowledgeable and supportive of my needs. I would highly recommend Circle Medical.

Davis

I’ve never had any issues with the app or my provider. My provider is very thorough and pleasant to talk to. The app is well designed and never buggy. Responses are fast and easy to navigate with the care staff. Circle is a life saver for me as a trans person. I’m so thankful to have found you all!

Kymani

Amazing care with exceptional convenience! Telehealth should be much more mainstream. I'm very glad to have found Circle Medical.

Kimberly

My provider is wonderful and so accomodating. I've been to psychs in the past that have been very rude and clearly wanted to get the visit over with ASAP, but she never rushes, she listens to me cite my complaints and praises about my current treatment plan, and then responds with true care.

Serena

I’ve had an amazing experience. I liked how I was able to read up on the providers to find the right fit for me. The one I chose is absolutely the right fit and has worked with me to find the correct dosage of medication.

Sandoval

My provider is very attentive, and very clear about treatment and recommendations. Everybody is so helpful. When you send messages they respond quickly.

Summer

Provider very punctual, efficient, and informative. Easy to use. Helpful for my needs.

Jodi

My provider has been an amazingly attentive, caring, and informative professional. The accessibility that this group provides is helping me take control of my health.

Jack

My primary care provider is so nice and helpful. The system is very easy user friendly, and the prices are reasonable compared to many other companies.

Cadence

To my provider, thank you sooo much!!! You are the best doctor ever!!! I literally owe you my life and I will be forever grateful, may God bless you so you can keep helping more patients 🙏🏻🩺👩‍⚕️

Macher

I have been helped in every aspect of the word.

Annalisa

Oh my word! This experience has changed my life. No more wasted time in traffic, being exposed to others’ germs, long waits in the ‘waiting’ room. I’ve gotten the help I didn’t know I needed. And the providers are consistently working with me to tweak things or address anything else that might not be quite right. I have cried tears of happiness at having hope again, and how much better I feel!

Lindsay

Easy to get appointments, provider is kind, very helpful and is committed to helping me. This app was there when my doctors ignored me for YEARS.

Ashley

I have really bad anxiety just at the thought of making a call to make an appointment. This made it possible to get the services I need.

Will

I have had a hard time with my primary care physician helping me explore ADHD treatment. I was not sure where else to turn. This was so easy and uses my insurance.

Adalynn

Appointment availability. I cannot get an in-person appointment in my city for 6 weeks. This app allowed me to connect with a medical professional the next day. (Same-day was available as well.) And professionalism. I felt that in my two appointments I was treated with respect, not judged, and I was able to express my issues and thoughts to someone who was actually listening.

Craig

As someone who has ADHD, simply setting up an account on the site was so easy. You can tell that this was made with neurodivergent people in mind. Things are just SIMPLE.

Edwin

Easy to schedule appointments, the chat is super responsive, and everyone I’ve talked to has been friendly and helpful.
