What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I have worked in the outpatient setting for over 20 years and the relationships I have developed with patients are extremely valuable to me. I am excited to work together with patients to achieve their utmost quality of life. I am passionate about preventative medicine and education about health promotion activities empowering patients to make healthier life choices. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of primary care provider should be one of a health care partner that can provide expertise to patients while also working together with the patient in shared decision-making to drive their health care choices. As a primary care provider, it is essential to recognize and screen for behavioral health care needs along with physical care needs. It is essential to see the patient through a holistic care lens. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time, I enjoy time with my family and time at the beach. I enjoy long walks to refresh my mind and for self-care.
