During your virtual visit, your provider will review your allergy symptoms, discuss your medical history, and recommend treatment options based on your needs. When appropriate, they may prescribe medication or refer you to an allergy specialist for additional evaluation.

Can allergies be treated through telehealth?

Many allergy concerns can be evaluated through virtual care, but some allergic reactions require urgent in-person evaluation. Seek immediate medical attention for signs of anaphylaxis, including trouble breathing, swelling of the face or throat, fainting, or symptoms that are severe or rapidly progressing.

Will I need an in-person appointment?

Most allergy symptoms can be managed through telehealth. If specialized testing, allergy shots, or additional evaluation is needed, your provider can refer you to an appropriate local specialist.

How soon can I receive treatment?

If medication is appropriate, your provider can send a prescription to your preferred pharmacy following your appointment. Treatment recommendations are based on your evaluation and individual medical needs.

Can Circle Medical providers treat conditions other than allergies?

Yes. Our board-certified primary care providers diagnose and manage a wide range of health concerns in addition to allergies and can help coordinate your ongoing care.

Can my provider refer me to an allergy specialist if needed?

Yes. If additional testing or specialty care is recommended, your provider can arrange a referral and help coordinate the next steps in your treatment plan.

What if I need in-person testing or examinations?

If in-person care is needed, your provider can order bloodwork or other testing at a nearby lab. Results are integrated with our HIPAA-compliant app so you can access your medical records securely.

What states do you operate in?

Circle Medical currently offers care in 32 states and the District of Columbia. To check availability in your state, begin booking an appointment. You must be residing in the state of treatment and have your primary pharmacy in that same state.

How long are appointments?

Standard video appointments are 30 minutes. Other appointment lengths may vary.

Does my provider accept my insurance?

Our practice accepts a wide range of commercial insurances. Please note that individual providers may be in-network with different insurances, and we are unable to accept certain plan types based on our insurance contracts. To confirm if we accept your insurance, you can go through our insurance verification during the appointment booking process, or on our mobile or web apps.

How much will my appointment cost if I’m using insurance?

Visits cost $35 on average with insurance. We will provide a cost estimate at booking, although there are cases where insurance will not provide real-time benefit information. Your final out-of-pocket cost is determined after we submit a claim to your insurance, and is based on the details of your insurance plan. Book an appointment and enter your insurance information to get an estimate before you confirm. For the most accurate estimate, call the number on the back of your insurance card.

How does billing work?

If you choose to self-pay, you will be sent an invoice shortly after your provider finalizes your appointment summary (typically within two days). Any balances that are not paid within 48 hours of invoice notice will be charged to your default payment method on file. If you choose to bill your appointment to insurance, it typically takes 4-6 weeks for your insurance to process your claim and return your out-of-pocket cost, including any applicable deductibles, co-pays, and/or coinsurance. The amount on the invoice should reflect the balance that is owed after your insurance has paid its share. You will be sent an invoice letting you know of an upcoming charge for your out-of-pocket cost. Any balances that are not paid within 48 hours of invoice notice will be charged to your default payment method on file.
