To be a medical provider for me is to improve another person's quality of life. Practicing medicine allows me to use my knowledge and skills to educate, empathize, and build relationships with others. The primary care provider should strive to educate, counsel and support all aspects of their patients lives. Medicine is not just giving pills, it takes more to treat the whole person. Preventative, behavioral and physical medicine medicine are the cornerstones to treat the whole person. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, two boys and two dogs. We enjoy bike riding, horseback riding and scuba diving. For my self care, I am either on the Peloton or lifting weights, or maybe both!
