What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I am passionate about being a healthcare provider as it allows me to get to know my patients and build a long-lasting, trusting relationship with them. This is what I look for in my own personal healthcare provider, and I am happy I get to be that person for my patients. I feel that when there is a good relationship between provider and patient, better care and better healthcare outcomes can be achieved. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? I feel that a primary care provider's role is to be a good listener and to work together with their patient to create a care plan the patient agrees with and is comfortable with. When the primary care provider and patient can work as a team, often patients feel more secure and empowered about their healthcare. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, mountain biking, and backpacking. I also love to volunteer as a Nurse Practitioner locally and abroad, as well as in dog rescue and fostering dogs.
