In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? As a passionate health care provider, I strive to provide the utmost care for all patients. I have a genuine desire to help others and posses strong communication skills that allow me to connect with patients. I provide a welcoming space for patients to be heard which has always been a great stepping stone in helping me serve, treat and educate patients with the care needed. What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? The role of a primary care provider is to not only provide care and potentially treatment but to provide a place where patients concerns are heard. Behavioral health needs are so important as people tend to shy away from opening up about it but when providing an open space for a patient all of these needs should be properly addressed and treated. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. So far I have had the privilege of visiting Ghana, Thailand, Jamaica, Antigua, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, St. Lucia and Mexico and looking forward to the next traveling adventure. I also thoroughly enjoy a good pampering day when I can squeeze it in of course. I also love to bake goodies for the family and friends.
