In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of a primary care provider is to serve as the central point of contact for a patient's overall health, addressing both their physical and behavioral health needs. They play a crucial role in preventive care, early detection, and treatment of physical health conditions, while also recognizing and addressing behavioral health concerns, such as mental health issues or substance abuse. By fostering a comprehensive and holistic approach to healthcare, primary care providers can ensure that patients receive integrated and well-rounded care, promoting their overall well-being. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I received my Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Miami Regional University in Miami Springs, and a master’s in education from ISCM-VC, Dr. Serafin-Ruiz, in Cuba; I am also certified as a facial rejuvenation expert. Outside of his work, I enjoy spending time with my two Huskies.
