What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I really enjoy listening to my patients and educating them so they can be their own advocate in their healthcare. I love helping people reach their health goals by offering them medical treatments and also educating them on lifestyle changes. There is nothing better than being able to celebrate with a patient when their hard work pays off. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of a primary care provider should be to help a person achieve their best health, both physically and mentally. We are responsible for listening, educating, and advocating for our patients, and are to be an active member in their care. Our role is to work together with our patients to make the best treatment plan, as a partner in their care, not as the "boss" of their care. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy reading, cooking and watching reruns of The Office. I like to exercise and play piano to relieve stress, and love spending time with my family.
