What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I love being able to connect with my patients, encouraging appropriate lifestyle modifications, if needed, to live their best life. I am also passionate about destigmatizing mental health disorders and normalize talking about them and coping strategies. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? I feel the provider and patient need to have a dialog to tease out the problem- and the cause- to come up with appropriate treatment plans that is agreed upon by both parties. It is important to have an open, non-judgmental, mutual respect for the best results. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time I spend a lot of time outdoors running, hiking, and working in the yard when the weather is warm. I also teach vinyasa and yin yoga at my local studio.
