What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I have a heart for service and really enjoy meeting people where they are and helping them to learn and grow into the best versions of themselves. Everyone has an opportunity for growth, success, and happiness and I feel called to help people become who they want to be by supporting their mental, spiritual, and physical health goals. Medicine has given me the chance to support so many people as they go through transitions and become well. I could not imagine doing anything more meaningful. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? A primary care provider should partner closely with their patients to help them achieve mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. This relationship should be supportive and consistent in order to promote longterm wellness. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking or reading in my hammock. On a Sunday afternoon, you can find me in the kitchen baking sourdough bread and cookies or tending to my chickens and chasing my nieces and nephews. I’m working on my “farmstead”… hoping to convince my husband to let us adopt a cow and a few goats next.
