Tell us what makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider. I love being a physician because it allows me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day. I’m passionate about listening without judgment, educating patients, and partnering with them to reach their health goals. Telehealth gives me the opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate care that is accessible, convenient, and centered on the whole person. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? I believe a primary care provider should be a trusted partner in a patient’s overall health. This means addressing physical concerns while also recognizing and supporting behavioral and mental health needs. By listening closely, providing guidance, and coordinating care when needed, primary care can help patients feel supported and confident in managing their health. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I am from rural East Tennessee, where I grew up on a small family farm. I love spending time working on the farm with my husband and our 2 year old son. I also love to travel and read.
