Dipti Padmalayam, MD

Dr. Dipti Padmalayam is double board-certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine. Her focus is preventative care in the setting of chronic disease management and treating patients as a whole. She works together with her patients to achieve their health goals through current, guideline-based medical management and lifestyle modification. She has experience in patient care in a variety of socioeconomic demographics, and strongly believes in empowering her patients through health education. An Atlanta native, she completed her internal medicine training at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, an affiliate of St. Louis University. Following residency, she worked in a private practice in San Francisco for several years before moving to New York City. Dr. Padmalayam holds a master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership from Wake Forest University and served as Division Chief of Internal Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Her primary goal is patient-centered care, and she seeks to improve the quality of her patients’ lives. She enjoys cooking and taking long walks with her husband and two young sons.
