What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I love being a nurse practitioner because of the incredible opportunity I have to help people every day! I am able to build relationships with patients in a safe and non-judgmental space and I love that my patients can come to me with their questions and concerns. I am passionate about developing individualized health plans and offering preventative care for each patient. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? A primary care provider should deliver patient-centered care that allows each individual to participate in their own health plan. The provider should focus on physical as well as emotional health, always while maintaining a trusting and respectful relationship. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to practice hot yoga, go jogging/hiking, garden, eat great food and spend time with my family.
