What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I love being a healthcare provider because I love educating people about how to better themselves and about health overall. Adequate healthcare literacy is not something that majority of the population has, so it is my job to care for patients and explain things in ways that they understand. This allows them to be an active member in their healthcare plan and goals. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? Mental health is equally as important as physical health. A primary care provider should seek to care for a patients body and mind. They should look at a patient as a whole instead of viewing just their disease processes. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time I like to read, cook, hike, and bake with my daughter. We also love to travel. Our goal is to visit all 50 states.
