What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? My passion for being a healthcare provider stems from my desire to help others and my love of medicine. As a physician I am able to see the improvement (no matter how small) that adequate healthcare can make in a person's life. Being able to help improve someone's health is one of the greatest joys of being a physician, and makes me even more passionate about providing great healthcare. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? As a primary care provider it is my responsibility to meet a patient wherever they are in their physical and behavioral health journey and establish a relationship and rapport. Through this relationship and rapport, we can work together to improve the patients physical health, behavioral health and overall well being. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, extended family and friends. When I'm not spending time with my loved ones, I am often making quilts for them and charity. Outside of quilting, I also love to crochet, refurbish furniture and bake.
