What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? Since I was four years old, I knew I wanted to work in healthcare. Growing up, this drive to help others led me to be very involved in community service and eventually brought me to my career as a physician assistant. Throughout my career I have enjoyed working in the emergency department, urgent care, primary care, and orthopedic practice to help patients of all ages manage both acute and chronic illnesses. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? I feel passionate about providing high quality care to patients and feel that telemedicine has truly expanded this type of access to care. I believe that patients should have access to convenient, discreet, and personalized healthcare and should be able to have a provider that they can trust and feel confident in. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I really enjoy traveling and planning trips and trying to find great local places for a more authentic travel experience. I love spending time on the beach reading a good book. I also enjoy gardening, baking, practicing pilates, and spending time with my husband and dog.
