What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I'm passionate about helping my patients feel their best by focusing on both their physical and emotional well being. I'm a huge advocate for shared decision making with an emphasis on preventative medicine. I love seeing my patients thrive while living a healthy lifestyle. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? As a primary care provider my focus is on both my patient's physical and behavioral health needs as treating the patient as a whole leads to the best outcomes. Every patient deserves to be heard and given the opportunity to actively participate in their treatment plans. I believe patient education and keeping up to date with evidence based medicine is essential to providing the highest quality of care to my patients. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I've been practicing as a Physician Assistant for 11 years spending the majority of my career in Hospital/Internal Medicine while also specializing in Interventional Spine and Ortho. I have provided care in the hospital, clinic and telemedicine settings. In my spare time, I love traveling and exploring new places with my husband and 2 small children. The beach is my happy place.
