Tell us what makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider. What excites me most about being a healthcare provider is teaching patients about their health in a way that gives them ownership of their care. I believe that when patients are informed and involved in their decisions, they become more motivated to follow through with treatment. Helping patients gain that confidence and control is the most rewarding part of my work. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? I believe the role of a primary care provider is to meet patients where they are, addressing both their physical and behavioral health needs with compassion and understanding. My responsibility is not only to diagnose and treat but also to ask meaningful questions that reinforce their understanding, clarify misconceptions, and ensure they feel heard. By engaging patients in this way, I aim to empower them to take ownership of their health, make informed decisions, and build confidence in managing their overall well-being. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I have been a Physician Assistant for almost 20 years, and I truly enjoy the privilege of caring for patients and their families. Outside of work, I love spending time with my children, traveling, and experiencing the world through their eyes—it keeps me curious and grounded.
