What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I am passionate about helping patients get to the root of their underlying conditions by using evidence based medicine, as well as focusing on their physical and emotional well being to help them live life to the fullest. I believe that patients deserve to feel empowered when it comes to their health and I am a huge advocate for patients being involved in making their own medical decisions. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? I believe it’s important to actively listen, provide empathy and compassion and meet each patient where they are in their wellness journey. This helps build trust and understanding which ultimately allows for the development of long lasting patient provider relationships where they feel like their needs are being met and they feel confident in the care they are receiving. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? My husband and I live in Northern Virginia with our children and two English Bulldogs. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and two young children - Everly and Larsen. I love reading, iced lattes, being outdoors, gardening, baking, exercising, binging TV shows & going to NHL hockey games.
