Tell us what makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider. I am passionate about being a healthcare provider because I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated. Growing up I watched as my mother struggled with sickle cell anemia, receiving unbiased care was hard for her and seeing that broke my heart. So, it has always been my mission to provide high quality and effective care along with allowing my patients to feel heard. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? A primary care provider should feel like a safe haven for a patient. They should feel comfortable enough to address all issues with their PCP without feeling as though they are being judged. Today many individuals do not trust the healthcare system which has resulted in many not seeking care so it is our jobs as PCPs to help close back this gap. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy working out and a good movie.
