What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? Using the tools of knowledge and empathy to navigate each person's complex physical, and emotional sea, in order to ultimately find solutions to their ailments. From the first encounter, and on each subsequent one, and many for a lifetime, embarking on this journey with a patient, through joy and sorrow; a bond forms, the seeds of trust are sowed, and a relationship flowers. It is this that drives my passion. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? As a primary care provider, a core tenet is to consider everything, the human being as a whole, everything is connected, differentials ranging across specialties are a must. This is what sets PCPs apart, and defines our role; making the diagnosis, and initiating treatment. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I like to exercise and stay active, however indulging in movies/tv shows, and food at times help balance a rigorous routine. I also love taking part of nature, especially anything that involves the beach/sea/ocean/water. Finally and most important; spending time with my family.
