In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? My role as a primary care provider is to provide preventative healthcare, disease prevention, health maintenance, acute and chronic care treatment, education, and to assess all healthcare needs of my patients. A focus of my care is to assess and improve the patients physical health through lifestyle strategies, which in turn can improve mental wellness. What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? My passion is to be able to provide excellent quality healthcare to a diverse population by treating acute and chronic healthcare needs. I enjoy providing compassionate care and I take great joy in making a positive impact in people's lives. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I grew up in Ohio throughout my childhood, lived in Kentucky, and now my home is in the Western Suburbs of Illinois. After earning my Master's Degree in Nursing, I entered the healthcare industry as a Nurse Practitioner by providing acute and chronic care to patients in the homes and I also worked at a vein center clinic providing care for venous insufficiency. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my family watching movies, working out, running, and watching my children play their sports that they enjoy.
