Tell us what makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider. Joana Reyes is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in healthcare industry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Magna Cum Laude from Molloy College in 2010 and her Master of Science in Nursing from New York University in 2015. Patient care is her passion and calling. Because of her qualities, she has developed enduring bonds with patients, showing strength through her patient care relationships. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? In my opinion, the role of a primary care provider for a patient is to be an active listener and provide care with compassion, empathy and understanding. Because of my qualities, I have developed long term bond and strong patient care relationship with my patients. Joana Reyes is also a family oriented and a single mother of two wonderful children. She dedicates her spare time by spending quality time with her children, family and friends; and learning new things, traveling, enjoying nature, yoga, cooking, reading and being active.
