About

In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The primary role of a health care provider is the utmost quality care, education, and readily available as a valuable resource to the patient. It is always important to not only treat the physical well-being of a patient, but their mind, body, and spirit. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I am originally from the State of Maine but moved to Florida in 2002. My passion in life is to travel and experience as much as the world as I can. I enjoy anything involving water especially fishing. I currently belong to a local sailing club where I am part of a team competing in races. What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? My passion is not only providing quality care, but in educating the patient as well. I think patients need to be aware of not only the importance of routine checkups, but also in knowing the processes of any chronic conditions they may have. I believe patients should be proactive in their general health, but also to be their own self advocate. Discussing medications and any potential side effects along with potential interactions is also important as these details are often missed. Please note: As I am not an MD/DO or Psychiatric NP, I am not authorized to prescribe ADHD controlled medications in the state of Florida
