A primary care provider (PCP) should be a guide and an advocate for patients' wellbeing. The role of a PCP should be to listen to patients' health concerns/symptoms and perform a high-value assessment to determine diagnoses. This would allow the PCP to formulate evidence-based practice treatment plans. Healthcare providers should educate patients in different treatment options available to address their health needs. Thus, guiding and helping patients make an informed decision regarding their care. Primary care providers should assess patients from a mental, spiritual and physical perspective. As human beings it is key to be able to have our health concerns properly assessed from these three perspectives. This allows individuals the chance to achieve their highest level of wellness. In my spare time I love spending time with my family. I also make sure to plan outdoor activities such as scuba-diving and playing volleyball.
