What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? Being a healthcare provider is a privilege as it put me in a position not only to help but also to empower patients. The opportunities I have to make a positive impact because of the trust given to me by my patients is not something I take for granted. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of a primary care provider is to build trusting relationships with the patient, understand their individual needs and develop a patient-specific treatment plan. It is the responsibility of the primary care provider to not only treat the medical condition but also to treat the patient holistically, including their behavioral health needs and social determinants of health.
