About

In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The primary care provider role should encompass the needs of the individual on a wholistic basis. Caring for someone's emotional/behavioral needs is just as important as their physical health as each of these can affect the other. The primary care provider should act as an advocate for their patient and by caring for them in the physical and behavioral aspect of medicine does just that. What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I have been in healthcare since 2008 and every patient interaction has been rewarding in its own unique way. Taking it to the next level and providing primary care has been fulfilling because I know my patients are well cared for and trust me with their life, health and wellness. I have continued to provide treatment for chronic and acute illness, as well as ADHD and birth control counseling. I also provide treatment and preventive counseling for STDs and PrEP in a discrete and professional manner. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I very much enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures (mainly through food!). I enjoy being outdoors, participating in various activities such as bike riding, hiking and running. I participated in my first Walt Disney World half marathon in 2019 and am getting back into the race world and am always open to suggestion of where to run next! I also enjoy visiting my friends and family that live in different places throughout the country.
