What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I am passionate about being a healthcare provider because it is an excellent opportunity to impact the health of our communities. As a provider, it is a great way to show concern and care to patients by sharing knowledge and helping patients to care for and love themselves. I love educating and empowering patients about their health.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
The role as a primary care provider is to treat each patient as an individual. Holistically, each patient has different needs and it is the responsibility of the provider to make sure physical and behavioral needs are addressed. Establishing a rapport will guide providers and the patient to approach solutions to the patient's healthcare needs.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am very competitive and love playing board games with family friends. I enjoy traveling and visiting state capitols, state parks and national parks. I also appreciate being captivated by a good book.
