Over 40 years ago, my grandmother showed me the gift of empathy and compassion, After volunteering at a local hospital by her side as a candy striper. Her love, passion. and example prompted me in later years to pursue a nursing career. I have been working in health care, since 1987. and have approached my care delivery quite simply by treating others as I wish my family/friends would be treated. I believe the most important role of a primary care provider is to foster a trusting relationship in which each patient feels heard and their concerns validated. When I am with a patient I do not want them to feel rushed or misunderstood. Addressing all physical and behavioral needs requires a detailed and comprehensive health history in order to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. My background has included family medicine, urgent care, surgical/trauma intensive care, labor/delivery , and home care. I am a mom of 3 adult children and a "Gigi" to a beautiful grandson. In my spare time, I enjoy the beauty and peace found on both land and water, especially in the NYS Adirondacks. Country music makes me smile and the laughter of friends and family warms my heart.
