Whether you are experiencing recent changes in your ability to sleep or you have been experiencing sleep issues for years, your Circle Medical provider will be able to fully assess your sleep, and create a customized treatment plan for you, which may include medication if medically appropriate.
At Circle Medical, assessing your health as a whole is our number one priority. During your sleep appointment, your provider will screen for common underlying conditions that could be affecting your sleep as well as discuss your past medical history. Your Circle Medical provider may also suggest blood work to assess for any underlying medical causes for your difficulty sleeping, which can be completed at any of our over 4,000 conveniently located partner locations.
Your provider may also want to screen you for sleep apnea and assess your sleep efficiency with an at-home sleep study that is mailed right to your door.
Rest assured that your treatment plans at Circle Medical will include an evidence-based approach that is specific to your unique medical history.

Many mild cases of Sleep Apnea can be treated by losing weight, changes in frequency and intensity in exercise, breath work, reducing alcohol consumption, stopping smoking, and more.
If a patient’s Sleep Apnea is significant enough that behavior changes alone are not effective, the typical treatment for Sleep Apnea is the use of a CPAP machine or similar device to help regulate a patient’s breathing while they sleep.
Available only with a prescription, CPAP machines have continued to evolve along with other medical technology, and have become easier than ever to use. Your provider will be able to recommend a CPAP device that is most compatible with your lifestyle, and will be covered by most insurance plans. Prescriptions for oral appliances are also available if applicable.
In very rare or extreme cases, or for patients who are unable or would prefer not to use a CPAP device or other device, Circle Medical providers can make an appropriate diagnosis and refer the patient out to an appropriate specialist.
Once you have chosen and started a treatment plan, your provider will prescribe a follow-up sleep study to confirm that your treatment is working.
† Circle Medical is able to offer low cost and high quality care from Primary Care Providers that are qualified to treat a wide range of conditions, and integrates your care into your overall health plan. Co-pay costs may range from covered, to $35, to not covered, and will depend on your individual insurance plan.

If you are having difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, you may benefit from meeting with a Board-Certified provider to receive a full evaluation of your sleep.
During your appointment, your provider will conduct a full evaluation of your sleep. If you have recently experienced changes to your ability to sleep, your provider will be able to help you diagnose the underlying causes. Your provider may prescribe non controlled medications for a short period of time to help you sleep. If you are experiencing chronic, ongoing insomnia, your provider will be able to develop a custom approach to improving your sleep.
You will not be able to receive Ambien or other controlled medications through our practice. In some instances, you may be prescribed non-controlled medications to help you sleep. Note that booking and paying for an appointment does not guarantee that you will receive any prescription medications, and all treatment plans are at the discretion of your provider.
You’ll be able to work with your provider to decide how often to have appointments based on your needs. Using the mobile app, you can book, cancel, and reschedule appointments with your provider as you need.
Your provider will create a custom treatment plan for you based on your needs. Depending on your treatment plan and your specific underlying causes, the amount of time it takes to see results and improvements will vary.
Depending on your unique circumstances, the number of appointments that you will have may vary.
With insurance coverage, the majority of our patients pay $5-$50 per appointment, depending on their insurance plan. This makes receiving comprehensive insomnia treatment more affordable when compared to sleep programs that do not accept insurance.
Our self-pay appointments are $100 each.

How to Prepare for Your First Appointment
Circle Medical has in-person clinics in California and is expanding its in-person presence across the US, but you can get high quality care via telemedicine video appointments in 30 states across the US.
To see what states are currently available, please start booking an appointment and the available states will show as options for you to select.
Circle Medical is a primary care practice, which means that the only fee due to us is the cost of the appointment itself. We accept insurance, so your plan may pay some or all of the appointment fee. Circle does not charge any ongoing membership fees to use our platform.
If you are prescribed medications, you will pay for them when you pick them up at a pharmacy.
Insured
We contract with most PPO insurance plans. If you are a California Bay Area resident, we also work with a small number of HMO plans.
To verify if we work with your insurance, simply start booking an appointment online. You will be prompted to enter your insurance details and will receive eligibility results instantly as well as an estimate of your appointment cost prior to confirming your appointment.
Some PPO plans that we currently work with are:
Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Blue Shield of California, Cigna, Health Net, Humana, and United Healthcare.
Our insured patients pay an average of $5-$50 per appointment.
Plans that we cannot work with are:
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide care for patients who have Medi-Cal or Medicaid insurance. This is because we are not licensed Medi-Cal or Medicaid providers, so we are not able to provide care, even if these patients choose to pay cash instead of use their insurance. If you have Medi-Cal or Medicaid, please do not book an appointment with us, as we will be unable to provide care even if you do not enter your insurance information.
Uninsured
We also offer a self-pay option at a flat rate of $100 per appointment.
Your provider will prepare a personalized plan for you after each visit including a diagnosis, recommendation, prescriptions and resources for additional reading.

Sleep problems like insomnia can be attributed to a variety of factors. Some of the most common factors are medications, health conditions, lifestyle choices, and your environment. Let’s take a look at some examples:
Insomnia is a sleep disorder commonly characterized by having trouble falling or staying asleep. If you find yourself lying awake in bed or waking up several times throughout the night, you may be dealing with insomnia. Insomnia also bleeds into your daytime activities, as your night of poor quality sleep can lead to fatigue, irritability, and drowsiness throughout the day.
Chronic insomnia can have serious mental and physical health implications. It’s important to seek a diagnosis and treatment if you suspect you have a sleep disorder. Fortunately, getting a sleep diagnosis is easier than ever thanks to online healthcare.
If you want to get tested for a sleep disorder online, the first step is to find an online care clinic like Circle Medical. A healthcare provider at your online care clinic will discuss your symptoms and the troubles you’ve been having with sleep. From there, they can send you an at-home sleep study. These are noninvasive and convenient devices that allow your provider to get metrics about your sleep without you needing to go to an in-person sleep clinic. From this data, they can diagnose your sleep disorder and start you on a treatment plan.
Falling asleep with insomnia can be difficult, but here are some strategies you can try to get a quality night's sleep:
Relaxing activities - Try setting a bedtime routine and engage in some relaxing activities to wind down for the night.
